The Lesbian and Gay Veterinary Medical Association (LGVMA) encourages its members to view, evaluate, and treat all persons in any professional activity or circumstance in which they may be involved, solely as individuals on the basis of their own personal abilities, qualifications, and other relevant characteristics.
The LGVMA confronts and rejects all forms of prejudice and discrimination that have led to misunderstanding, hostility and injustice. These include, but are not limited to, those based on race, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, parental status, religious beliefs, military or veteran status, political beliefs, geographic, socioeconomic, and educational background and any other characteristic protected under applicable federal or state law.

Ensuring all attendees are welcome at the 2017 AVMA Convention in Indianapolis
The recent law passed in the state of Indiana regarding religious freedom has sparked an outcry and has raised concerns for us regarding our2017 annual convention, scheduled July 21-25, 2017, in Indianapolis.

costs such as website, meetings and other operating costs.
Scholarship Fund -
Donations are earmarked for our student scholarship program typically
2-4 students per year.
Fund - Donations
are earmarked for our education program, such as sponsoring keynote
lectures or producing educational materials such as "Sexual Diversity
in the Animal Kingdom" DVD.
NOTE: LGVMA is a
501(c)6 not-for-profit membership association. Dues and donations may
be tax-write offs for business expenses. We always recommend that you
talk to your tax person.
